Brute 1976 American survival horror film about a group on a photo shoot in the desert who become prey to a psycho family.
Directed and co-produced by Marcel Walz (That’s a Wrap; Pretty Boy; Blind; Rootwood; Blood Feast 2016; Tortura; Seed 2) from a screenplay written by co-producer Joe Knetter (12 to Midnight; That’s a Wrap; Nutcracker Massacre; Pretty Boy; Blind). Also produced by Sarah French. Executive produced by Dirk Schürmann and Tobias Schürmann.
The Neon Noir production stars Adriane McLean, Sarah French (Death Count; Pretty Boy; Blind; Rootwood) Gigi Gustin (The Retaliators), Adam Bucci, Mark Justice, Bishop Stevens, Jed Rowen, Ben Kaplan, Dazelle Yvette, Alex Dundas, Robert Felsted Jr, Bianca Jade Montalvo and Andreas Robens.
The soundtrack score is composed by Simone Cilio (Ash and Bone; The Haunting of the Tower of London; Werewolf Castle; A Werewolf in England; A Dark Path).
Plot:
1976: Raquel and her girlfriend suffer car trouble and break down on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. They stumble upon an abandoned mine and decide to explore it. At the same time, a group of people are in the desert for the photo shoot. The plan is to do a salt and pepper-styled shoot to celebrate the Bicentennial unity sweeping across the nation. The magazine cover will feature two models, Roxy and Raquel.
As Raquel doesn’t show up, they enlist Sunshine, the make-up artist, to take her place. After the shoot, they stumble upon an abandoned town called Savage. It has a history of being very violent, but has been vacant for years. It’s a perfect place to explore and take some photos. But they are not alone. A family of masked psychopaths have claimed Savage as their own and is hell-bent on living up to its name…

Director Marcel Walz commented: “I’ve always been a huge fan of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes, both the originals and remakes. Brute 1976 was an amazing experience to shoot: It was hot, it was dirty, and it was bloody. I’m sure the audience will feel that on screen.”
Writer Joe Knetter added: “Brute is our love letter to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which I consider to be the greatest horror film of all time. Shooting in the desert provided many challenges, but our cast and crew really delivered something special.”
