You’ve probably heard of Camille Styles before, especially if you’re into home design and decor. Talk about goals. You may have also met her in our Mother’s Day series this year.
On her lifestyle blog you’ll also find tips for hosting, table setting and recipes among other beautiful content. Dare we say it’s giving the new Martha Stewart?
Today on the blog we’re featuring something that Lauryn loves to make. Camille Styles’ Detox Soup. It’s simple, it’s easy, it’s nutritious and you’re going to to love it.
As Camille says “it’s perfect for those days when your body is asking you to take it easy after lots of indulging.”
Camille Styles’ Famous Detox Soup
+ In a dutch oven, warm a tablespoon of olive or coconut oil, then sauté 1 chopped onion and 3 chopped cloves of garlic for about 5 minutes.
+ Add a tablespoon each of turmeric and cumin, and a pinch of salt.
+ Add an entire head of cauliflower, chopped. Pour in 6 cups of chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
+ Put the lid on and simmer for about 15 – 20 minutes until the cauliflower is tender.
+ Transfer everything to a blender, and blend until smooth.
+ Return the soup to the pot, and serve topped with fresh herbs like parsley and chives.
Easy, quick, healthy – what more could you ask for.
Camille says to try it with other vegetables too, like:
Broccoli, peas and mint
Zucchini and parsnips
Butternut squash, ginger and cumin
The batch lasts in the fridge for about a week, but we doubt it’ll last that long.
Bon appetite!
