Coral Golding is a UK-based podcast host and content creator, but you may know her as Coral Pearl. We love her for giving us a BTS look at homeschooling life with her 2 daughters and she’s a strong voice in the wellness space, while still sprinkling in a bit of luxury.

She hosts a wide range of thought leaders and experts on her podcast RAISE and while her content is focused on living mindfully and being health-conscious, if you’re not into that, we recommend you still follow along for fashion, beauty and interior decor inspo.

We talk a lot about living a non-toxic lifestyle these days and know things can get overwhelming. That’s why today Coral is on the blog to share the non-toxic practices and swaps that she thinks make the biggest difference.

Let’s welcome Coral to the blog.

+++

I’m Coral, a business owner, podcast host and homeschooling mum based in Brighton, UK. I co-host the RAISE podcast, which has also become a wellness brand for both adults and children.

I’ve always been interested in wellness. I actually grew up off-grid with my family, surrounded by nature, with a deep connection to the earth and a more natural way of being. That upbringing instilled in me a love of living simply and in rhythm with the seasons. It taught me to trust my body, think for myself, and connect with the world around me in a really grounded way.

When I became a mum, that connection only deepened. I found myself questioning more and more of what I was told, especially when it came to my children. Whether it was about food, school, sleep, or health, I realized that a lot of what’s considered “normal” just didn’t sit right with me. That curiosity led me to home education for both my girls, and now we live in a way that really works for us, where learning, play, and wellness are all woven into daily life.

I’m all about balance but awareness. I don’t believe in fear or extremes. But there are definitely some non-negotiables in our home. Certain things I’ve switched out because I know they make a difference. To our hormones, sleep, nervous systems and energy. So here’s a little peek into the swaps I love most.

Stainless Steel in the Kitchen

We’ve fully transitioned to stainless steel and glass wherever possible. So chopping boards, water bottles, storage containers, our blender, and even our air fryer is glass. Most people don’t realize how much heat and plastic can leach endocrine-disrupting chemicals into food. I used to think I was eating clean, but if your food’s stored, cooked, or blended in the wrong materials, it kind of defeats the point.

Grounding Mats

This is one of the easiest ways to support your nervous system. I’ve got grounding mats on all the beds in the house and I think they are amazing for deep restorative sleep. It helps regulate cortisol, reduce inflammation, and connect you back to the Earth’s natural frequencies. When I skip it, as in sleeping away from home, I feel the difference. It’s simple but so powerful especially if you spend a lot of time indoors or in front of screens.

PEMF Therapy

We recently had the founder of Celler8 on our podcast RAISE, and he really convinced us of the power of PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy. I’d been using it before, but after that conversation I properly understood how it works at the cellular level, improving circulation, reducing inflammation, helping your body repair, and supporting deep relaxation.

And with the amount of EMF exposure we’re all under these days, I feel even more drawn to practices that counterbalance it. I use our PEMF mat most mornings while I journal or wind down in the evening, and it’s become one of my favorite nervous system tools.

Cleaning Products

Cleaning was an early swap. Once you start reading the ingredient lists on conventional products, and how many endocrine disruptors they contain, you can’t unsee it. We use Attitude in our house, which is one of the cleanest UK-based brands I’ve found. They’re super transparent and everything smells fresh without fake fragrances.

That said, I’m counting down the days until Branch Basics launches in the UK. Until then, Attitude has been a brilliant option.

EMF Protection

I’ve definitely been on an EMF protection hype lately. With Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc., it’s everywhere. We have a Somavedic in our home which helps harmonize the environment and reduce oxidative stress. We also have EMF-blocking stickers on all our phones and laptops. It doesn’t rule out all exposure, but every little bit helps, and I honestly feel calmer and sleep better with them around.
