Amid the well-wishes, David returned home, with Victoria posting another pic of the athlete wearing a beaded “GET WELL SOON” bracelet.
Just two days later, David proved his ailment was nothing to worry about during a June 29 appearance in Atlanta to watch the team he co-owns, Inter Miami CF, play in a FIFA Club World Cup match, where he explained, “It’s not as bad as it looks.”
“I had surgery a couple of days ago,” he clarified to DAZN Football during an interview. “I broke my arm, if you remember, 23 years ago playing for England in South Africa. I had a screw put in. The screw needed to be taken out, and a couple of days ago I had it, well, kind of taken out.”
He also explained why his finger was bandaged up, noting, “I’ve also got a splinter that I had in there for about three years, so I had that done at the same time.”
